On August 29, 2024, Li Xin, Vice President of Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, led a team to conduct an inspection tour at Aerospace Engineering Equipment (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (AEE). He was accompanied by Chen Changgan, Deputy Director of the Industrial Development Department, Liao Jiayin, Section Chief of the Industrial Development Department, and Li Mengyu, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Aerospace Equipment Manufacturing General Factory Co., Ltd.

Received warmly by Zhang Xinyun, Chairman of AEE, and Yang Guoshun, General Manager, Li Xin and his entourage visited the production workshops. They inspected the R&D and manufacturing site of friction stir solid-state additive manufacturing equipment, and observed the equipment operation and finished products.

 

The friction stir solid-state additive manufacturing technology was jointly developed by AEE and the Macao Institute for Development and Quality (IDQ). As a branch of additive manufacturing, it has gained remarkable recognition across the manufacturing industry for its unique strengths. Derived from friction stir welding, this technology realizes micro-forging of materials through a combined process of friction, extrusion and stirring. Featuring no material melting, high deposition efficiency and excellent mechanical properties, it greatly boosts production efficiency and material utilization while guaranteeing product performance and precision, showing outstanding advantages in the efficient manufacturing of large structural components.

Li Xin and his team spoke highly of AEE's groundbreaking achievements in friction stir solid-state additive manufacturing. They commented that these innovations have not only consolidated AEE's leading position in the industry, but also laid a solid foundation for the market promotion and wide application of the technology.

Later, Yang Guoshun gave a comprehensive report on AEE's industrial development, focusing on highlights of business operation, achievements in market expansion and external cooperation, progress of key projects and follow-up work plans. All participants held in-depth discussions on the company's current operation, future development plans and capital operation strategies.

 

After the briefing, Li Xin fully affirmed AEE's accomplishments. He pointed out that the company has firmly maintained and continuously strengthened its leading edge in the industry. In particular, AEE's forward-looking layout and innovative investment in solid-state additive manufacturing have yielded fruitful results. He stressed that when confronted with current challenges, the team should adopt a future-oriented mindset to solve practical problems, take targeted measures, prioritize major issues and drive overall improvement by tackling key difficulties. Meanwhile, he encouraged AEE to sustain robust R&D momentum, optimize operation and management, and secure steady growth amid fierce market competition.
