From December 6 to 9, 2023, the World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference was grandly held in Nanjing. Aerospace Engineering Equipment (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (AEE) showcased its friction stir solid-state additive manufacturing technology at the event. The company gathered with academicians, experts, professional think tanks and representatives of well-known enterprises from home and Australia engaged in intelligent manufacturing. They conducted in-depth discussions on hot topics and cutting-edge trends, exchanged ideas and contributed to the development of intelligent manufacturing.

Hosted by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Association for Science and Technology, the conference themed "Intelligent Transformation, Digital Upgrade & Network Connectivity, Integrated Innovation of Digital and Real Economy". It featured keynote sessions, special activities, professional forums, industrial competitions and exhibitions. Adhering to the philosophy of "High-end, International, Professional and Systematic", the conference fully demonstrated the new landscape of integration between digital and real economy under the background of new industrialization, and presented the development trends of intelligent manufacturing in an all-round way.

AEE displayed its friction stir solid-state additive manufacturing technology in Hall 6, the Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Exhibition Area. Combining friction stir welding and friction surfacing technologies, this process realizes short-time friction stir welding on deposition layers via hollow stirring tools. It features no material melting, high deposition efficiency and excellent product performance. AEE exhibited various samples and introduced the latest research achievements of the technology and supporting equipment to visitors.

Dr. Zhu Zhixiong, engineer of AEE, delivered a speech titled Development Status and Future Prospect of Friction Stir Solid-state Additive Manufacturing Technology at the Forum on Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Application Innovation. He presented the latest R&D progress of AEE's Friction Stir Additive Solid-state Deposition (AFSD) technology and equipment, elaborated on technical principles, research results and application scenarios, and shared the future outlook of the technology. He also had enthusiastic exchanges with on-site experts and industry partners.

During the conference, AEE conducted in-depth exchanges with industry peers.
