From June 27 to 30, the 26th Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair, a world-renowned welding and cutting event, was grandly held at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. Aerospace Engineering Equipment (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (AEE) unveiled its flagship new products, drawing wide attention from on-site visitors and media. Research Fellow Lu Daming, Vice Chairman of the China Mechanical Engineering Society, Research Fellow Song Tianhu, former Supervisor-General of the Society, Professor Tan Liwu, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection and Chairman of the Macao Institute for Development and Quality (IDQ), and other distinguished guests visited AEE's booth for guidance and exchanges.

New Equipment, New Materials, New Opportunities — Solid-state Friction Additive Hybrid Forming Test Station
The highlight of AEE's booth was undoubtedly the Solid-state Friction Additive Hybrid Forming Test Station. Jointly developed by AEE and IDQ through dedicated technical research, this equipment supports friction stir welding, friction surfacing and solid-state additive manufacturing for a variety of metals. It also enables real-time high-frequency monitoring of temperature, torque and pressure during production. Adopting a modular design for flexible functional configuration, the equipment will greatly facilitate fundamental research and process exploration of solid-state friction forming technologies in China. The unit was purchased by a Guangdong-based customer during the exhibition, marking AEE as the world's first manufacturer of intelligent integrated solid-state technology equipment.
• Data acquisition and visualization: The system collects real-time data including temperature, pressure, torque, speed and position to facilitate production adjustment and optimization.
• Modular design: Modules and customized functions are available to meet diverse research demands and realize personalized configuration.
• Dedicated human-machine interface: Developed for intelligent solid-state manufacturing to optimize operation experience and efficiency.
• Multi-user platform: Supports multi-user and multi-task operation to enhance overall system performance.
C-type FSW Equipment — Equipped with Intelligent On-line Welding Quality Inspection System
With the widespread application and maturing of friction stir welding technology, the industry focus has shifted from standalone technical application to full-process intelligent and highly reliable production. To elevate user experience and equipment intelligence, AEE independently developed an on-line welding quality inspection system, which monitors tool wear and weld surface quality in real time. It effectively improves product yield and reduces resource waste. This C-type FSW machine was acquired by a Chongqing customer at the fair, representing the first commercial application of AEE's self-developed intelligent on-line quality inspection system in China.

An expert forum themed Welding · Intelligent Manufacturing · Future was held at AEE's booth. Renowned experts in friction stir welding delivered speeches covering FSW application, quality inspection and project achievements. The forum attracted a large audience and became a valuable platform for direct exchanges between attendees and industry elites.
Thriving Atmosphere with Huge Popularity
AEE also displayed the latest achievements in innovative FSW processes, helping visitors gain deeper insights into relevant technologies and applications. A full range of welding tools including small-diameter shoulder, dual shoulder, retractable shoulder and stationary shoulder for aluminum alloys drew crowds of visitors. AEE's professional engineering team warmly received every guest, elaborating on product advantages and technological innovations and listening to customer requirements. The on-site equipment demonstration area was particularly lively. Domestic and international partners experienced solid-state friction forming and on-line quality inspection technologies firsthand, and spoke highly of AEE's products in terms of quality, performance and effectiveness.
The three-and-a-half-day exhibition concluded with fruitful results.
