On February 23, 2023, Aerospace Engineering Equipment (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (AEE) successfully held an on-site Friction Stir Welding (FSW) Technical Training Session for its client. The training aimed to improve the professionalism of product design and enhance skills for equipment operation and maintenance. More than 50 engineers from the client's R&D, process, production and other departments attended the event.

To help clients operate equipment more efficiently and boost production and R&D efficiency, AEE regularly conducts on-site technical training every year, enabling participants to apply professional knowledge into practical work. At this session, AEE technical expert Mr. Hu delivered in-depth training covering FSW working principles, product design, weld inspection methods and equipment functions.

The lecturer first gave a technical briefing on four key aspects: basic FSW principles, weld characteristics, factors affecting welding quality, as well as formation mechanisms and control solutions for common defects. Detailed explanations were also provided on product structural design, especially typical weld structure design for die-cast parts. In response to daily operational feedback, the instructor introduced conventional FSW weld inspection methods with video tutorials and case studies. In addition, he illustrated equipment functions, routine inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting, helping participants gain a comprehensive understanding of FSW technology and equipment.

An open technical exchange was arranged to fully explore client demands and collect suggestions. Participants actively raised questions and shared ideas on technical documents and after-sales services. The activity further strengthened mutual trust and communication, pointing out directions for future cooperation and AEE's technological improvement.
