The large dynamic/static gantry machine is developed for the joining of large thick plates with a maximum thickness of 80 mm on one side. the large dynamic/static gantry friction stir welding machine enables stable and reliable welding of conventional 1D and 2D curved seams, the 2D curved welding machine is equipped with a parallel spindle. It is currently used for processing large thickness light alloy sheet products for aerospace applications.
